About

Hi, welcome to my website! I am a first-year Master’s student in Industrial Design at KAIST, advised by Professor Sangsu Lee as part of Next Interface Lab and the HCI@KAIST community. During my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate to be advised by Professor Hwajung Hong on my Undergraduate Research Program.

My research interests are in human-computer interaction (HCI) and human-AI interaction (HAI). Recently, I have been exploring topics such as AI-generated content labels, risks of AI reliance and homogenization, and multi-agent systems. Through my work, I hope to help people engage with technology in more meaningful ways.

I was born in the United States and spent my K–12 years in South Korea, Uzbekistan, and Switzerland. Growing up across different cultural and educational environments taught me to approach people, ideas, and ways of living with curiosity and open-mindedness. Outside of my research, I enjoy tennis, swimming, and skiing during the winter.

Whoever you are, feel free to reach out! I would be happy to connect!

"to-i" is a communication tool designed for severely abused teenagers to discreetly seek help from the police and child protection agencies. The device communicates using a specific sound frequency that is recognizable to teenagers but undetectable by their abusive parents. “to-i” strengthens trust between the child and authorities while also simplifying and personalizing the abuse reporting process, reducing the psychological barriers to seeking help. Ultimately, it serves as a crucial step in protecting the child by ensuring that abusive parents face the necessary interventions.

ConfiTint provides insights into the context behind stock price fluctuations, aiding users in forming their own educated opinions about potential investments. The app presents a single stock information in two unique perspectives, each with supporting background knowledge: one optimistic and the other cautious. Users choose the view that aligns with their investment preferences. Based on the selection, they receive results displayed in a distinct color, accompanied by a summary tailored to their choices. ConfiTint allows individuals to develop their own strategies and principles, positioning them at the forefront of their financial decisions.
